Trump’s Military Assessment
Trump claimed Iran’s military capabilities have been severely degraded, writing on TRUTH Social that the country’s navy, air force and air defense systems are destroyed. “Their Navy is gone, their Air Force is gone, their Anti Aircraft apparatus is nonexistent, Radar is dead,” Trump wrote.

The president asserted Iran’s missile and drone infrastructure has been “largely obliterated” and said longtime leaders “are no longer with us.” He also claimed all 28 of Iran’s mine-dropper boats have been destroyed.
Strategic Interests and Shipping
Trump emphasized concerns about Iranian threats to global shipping routes, particularly the Strait of Hormuz, which carries a significant portion of the world’s oil supply. He stated Iran’s only remaining leverage involves maritime threats.

The administration announced it is clearing the Strait of Hormuz “as a favor to Countries all over the World,” listing China, Japan, South Korea, France, and Germany as beneficiaries. Multiple tankers are reportedly en route to the U.S. Gulf Coast to load crude oil.

Senator John Fetterman told Fox News that American media has been “carrying water for Iran” during coverage of the conflict. Fetterman defended U.S. military operations and called for holding Iran accountable for its actions.
The Pennsylvania Democrat’s comments follow ongoing debate over a February 28 Tomahawk missile strike on a school building in Minab, southeastern Iran. A preliminary U.S. military investigation found the strike resulted from faulty targeting intelligence based on outdated information.
